Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports that Nelson Figueroa has been claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Phillies. Figueroa, who was beaten out by Sean Green for the final bullpen spot, last pitched for the Phillies in 2001, going 4-5 with a 3.94 ERA in 19 appearances (13 starts).
I'm still baffled at how Green beat out Figueroa but he's a 35 year old journeyman, you can't lose sleep over losing him…
