Despite his rough start last night, Hisanori Takahashi is expected to stay in the rotation. He is scheduled to pitch against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday.
Takahashi went 2.2 inning last night, giving up six runs on seven hits, one walk and two strike outs.
Pat Misch, who could be another option for the Mets bullpen, is 9-3 with a 3.27 ERA for the Buffalo Bisons.

Carlos Beltran will get the day off today, after playing for three straight games. Beltran went 2-4 with a triple and a run scored in last night;s game, and is hitting .333 since coming off the DL.
It's expected that Angel Pagan will start in center field, and Jeff Francoeur will start in right.

Johan Santana is a career 61-19 with a 2.73 ERA after the All-Star break. He currently hasn't allowed a run in his 16 inning pitched.

Rod Barajas' power has seemed to disappear, Adam Rubin reports. He hasn't hit a home run since May 31st against the San Diego Padres. After his 0-4 last night he is hitting .231 with a .268 OBP.

Luis Castillo went 1-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored in last night's rehab start for the St. Lucie Mets. Castillo also played all nine inning in the field at second base.

Ex-Met Anderson Hernandez was DFA'd by the Cleveland Indians, according to Anthony Castrovince.
