Dillon Gee, RH (6-0, 3.33) |
Charlie Morton, RH (6-2, 2.52) |
Scouting Report:
METS: Gee extended his season-long unbeaten streak to eight on Saturday with six shutout innings against Atlanta. It was his second start of the year in which he didn't allow a run. He allowed three runs in seven innings in a May 30 win against Pittsburgh.
PIRATES: Against the Phillies on Saturday, Morton pitched seven innings, giving up two runs on six hits while striking out five batters. He has not surrendered more than two earned runs in a game since May 1.
| Saturday, June 11th, 7:05 PM EDT PNC Park |
R.A. Dickey, RH (3-6, 4.04) |
James McDonald (3-4, 4.97) |
Scouting Report:
METS: In his second start since partially tearing the plantar fascia in his right foot, Dickey threw eight innings against the Braves on Sunday, allowing one run on a solo homer. He gave up three runs in 7 2/3 innings his last start against Pittsburgh.
PIRATES: McDonald lost his ability to repeat his delivery beginning in the fourth inning of his last start. His command evaporated as a result. McDonald ended up walking five in four innings and ended his outing with 12 straight balls.
| Sunday, June 12th, 1:35 PM EDT PNC Park |
Chris Capuano, LH (4-6, 4.86) |
Kevin Correia, RH (8-4, 3.64) |
Scouting Report:
METS: In his first game against his old teammates in Milwaukee, Capuano held the Brewers to one run — a Prince Fielder homer — in six innings. He did not fare so well in his previous start against the Pirates, allowing five runs in six innings.
PIRATES: Correia left too many pitches up on Tuesday and was hurt as a result. He's still looking for more success at home, where he is 1-3 with a 5.76 ERA. Correia faced the Mets on June 1 and earned a win with six strong innings.
| Monday, June 13th, 7:05 PM EDT PNC Park |
Mike Pelfrey, RH (3-4, 5.35) |
Paul Maholm, LH (2-7, 3.39) |
Scouting Report:
METS: Pelfrey submitted one of his best starts of the season Wednesday against the Brewers, holding them to two runs in six efficient innings. But his previous start against the Pirates was ugly: 10 hits and seven runs in five innings.
PIRATES: Maholm pitched six innings Wednesday against the Diamondbacks and gave up just one single and no runs. However, he came away with a no-decision. Maholm has allowed three earned runs or less in 10 of his 13 outings.
