Mike Pelfrey, RH (5-9, 4.67)

Chris Volstad, RH (5-8, 5.59)

Scouting Report:

METS: Pelfrey had been competent if not solid against the Phillies on Sunday before giving up Michael Martinez's first career home run, a three-run blast in the fifth. Pelfrey took the loss and gave up four runs on six hits in five innings.

MARLINS: After giving up six hits to the first eight batters in Chicago, Volstad ended up with his shortest outing of the year. He allowed four runs on six hits in three innings in a no-decision. He's yielded 14 runs in 13 innings over his last three starts.

Sun Life Stadium

Chris Capuano, LH (8-9, 4.16)

Clay Hensley, RH (1-2, 2.70)

Scouting Report:

METS: Though he came close to another quality start on Monday, allowing four runs over a season-high 7 2/3 innings, Capuano instead lost for the third time in six decisions. He will rematch the Marlins at Sun Life Stadium, where he last won in 2005.

MARLINS: In his first game off the DL and his first start since July 2008, Hensley threw five shutout innings against the Mets. He gave up just one hit, striking out three batters and walking two. It was Hensley's first win of the season.

Sunday, July 24th, 1:10 PM EDT
Sun Life Stadium

Dillon Gee, RH (9-3, 3.67)

Anibal Sanchez, RH (6-3, 3.52)

Scouting Report:

METS: PGee earned his ninth win on Monday, tossing seven innings and allowing three hits and two runs. He struck out two for the second consecutive start, compared with two walks.

MARLINS: Sanchez took the loss after giving up two first-inning runs over six frames in a 4-0 loss to the Padres. The righty hasn't won since June 10, which includes a career-long seven-start streak. He has posted quality starts in five of the last seven.
