Dillon Gee, RH (10-3, 3.93)

Ian Kennedy, RH (14-3, 3.20)

Scouting Report:

METS: Gee allowed three home runs Sunday against the Braves as he gave up five runs in as many innings. He won his only start against the D-Backs this year, going six innings and giving up two earned runs.

DIAMONDBACKS: Kennedy is 6-0 in his last six starts and has a 2.63 ERA during that time. In his last start against the Dodgers, Kennedy allowed three runs on six hits over seven innings. He has gone at least six innings in his last six starts.

Chase Field

Mike Pelfrey, RH (6-9, 4.53)

Dan Hudson, RH (11-8, 3.83)

Scouting Report:

METS: elfrey gave up four runs on nine hits in 6 1/3 innings against the Padres on Monday. It was just the second time in his past nine outings he's pitched more than six frames. He allowed one run in seven innings against the D-backs on April 22.

DIAMONDBACKS: Hudson struggled in his last outing against the Astros, allowing seven runs (four earned) on 11 hits while lasting just three innings. Hudson has not pitched well in three of his last four starts. The lone exception came against the Giants on Aug. 2.

Sunday, August 14th, 4:10 PM EDT
Chase Field

Chris Capuano, LH (9-10, 4.51)

Jason Marquis (8-6, 4.48)

Scouting Report:

METS: Capuano gave up a combined four runs in the fourth and fifth innings Tuesday, but gamely fought through a scoreless sixth before being removed after a leadoff single in the seventh. He was drafted by Arizona in the eighth round in 1999.

DIAMONDBACKS: Marquis is still looking for his first win as a D-back. He was acquired prior to the Trade Deadline from the Nats. Marquis took the loss in his first start against the Giants and followed that up with a poor start against the Astros at Chase Field.
