Scouting Report:

METS: Dickey again pitched well enough to win at Citi Field, but left with a loss. Against San Diego, he allowed three earned runs in six frames, but was foiled by two unearned runs and a faulty 'pen that kept him on the hook. His last home win was June 5.

PADRES: Harang was staked to a 5-0 lead after three innings in his last start against the Mets, but left with two outs in the sixth inning after allowing three runs. Now, he will get another crack at the Mets, this time at PETCO Park.

Scouting Report:

METS: Niese was outstanding Thursday against the Padres, striking out seven and walking two in 7 2/3 innings. Niese allowed two earned runs and made it past six innings for the first time in five starts. His 122 pitches tied a career high.

PADRES: Luebke faced the Mets in his last outing; he allowed two earned runs and struck out eight in five innings. He is 2-0 with 17 strikeouts in his past two appearances and has allowed two runs or fewer in seven of his past nine starts.

Scouting Report:

METS: Since opening the season 7-0 with a 2.86 ERA, Gee is 3-4 with a 5.61 mark in his most recent seven starts. He'll look to turn things around by throwing fewer fastballs and more breaking pitches against the Padres, a team he has never faced.

PADRES: Latos was stellar in his last outing once again, allowing two earned runs in seven innings against Cincinnati. He has allowed three earned runs or fewer in nine straight starts and has struck out at least five in 10 straight.
