- Jose Reyes – Has collected at least one hit in 14 of New York’s 17 games this season…The Mets shortstop is 10th in the majors with 23 hits, tied for fourth in the majors with eight multi-hit games, tied for sixth in the majors with nine extra-base hits and tied for 13th in the majors in total bases (36)….is three doubles shy of 200 for his career…He would become the fifth Mets player to reach that plateau, joining teammate David Wright, Ed Kranepool, Howard Johnson and Edgardo Alfonzo.
- Carlos Beltran – Hit his third home run of the year last night…All three of his home runs have come at Citi Field, where the outfielder is hitting .304 (8-26) with three doubles and four RBI…Beltran hit three home runs at Citi Field in 27 games in 2010 and had three home runs in 38 home games in 2009.
- Jason Bay – Went 4-4 with two home runs, four RBI, three runs scored, two singles and a walk last night for St. Lucie (A) of the Florida State League against Fort Myers (Minnesota Twins)…Bay played nine innings in leftfield and is expected to do the same tonight at Port Charlotte (Tampa Bay Rays) before joining the Mets on Thursday for their game vs. Houston…Bay is 5-9 with two home runs, three singles, two walks and four RBI in three major league rehabilitation games with St. Lucie.
- Ronny Paulino – Went 2-5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI last night as the designated hitter for St. Lucie (A) of the Florida State League in his fifth major league rehabilitation game…He has thrown out one of two baserunners…Paulino is batting .176 (3-17) over his five rehab games and is expected to play for St. Lucie tonight at Port Charlotte.
- R.A. Dickey – Is 0-2 with a 6.35 ERA (eight earned runs/11.1 innings) in two home starts this season…Last year, the righthander posted a 1.99 ERA (18 earned runs/81.1 innings) at home, the fourth-best mark in the National League…Dickey pitched a scoreless inning in relief on Sunday at Atlanta to earn a hold in New York’s 3-2 victory…Dickey has yet to allow a first inning hit (0-9) this year…He held the opposition to a .156 batting average in the first inning last year, the best mark among qualifying pitchers.
- Pedro Beato – Allowed an unearned run last night…Beato has worked 10.0 innings over seven major league outings without allowing an earned run to begin his major league career…The righty has held lefthanded batters to a .133 (2-15) mark…Opponents are 0-10 against him at Citi Field, 1-17 (.059) with runners on base and 1-9 (.111) with runners in scoring position.
- Bullpen – The Mets bullpen has posted a 4.45 ERA, ranking 25th in the majors…The bullpen is 0-2 with a 6.07 ERA (18 earned runs/26.2 innings) at home…The pen ranks first in the majors with 59 strikeouts, is second with 60.2 innings pitched and is tied for fourth with 28 walks.
