1-0!  Taking this opportunity (as I don't know how long it will last) to say I have three winning teams.  It has been a LONG Time since I could say that at any point in the season.

Mets!!!! (as you may know, they are in the playoffs)

Jets!! (3-1)

Rangers! (1-0)

:-D

Just wondering if anyone has any opinions on the Islanders move to Brooklyn? Good for the team, bad move, or does anyone really care about the Islanders? The team has some solid young talent.

colloseum was a dump, many referendums, but couldn't get gvt support for new stadium, so made sense to move.

From what I hear though the line of sights are terrible for hockey and the score board isn't in center ice.  Just doesn't feel like its a hockey teams home, just a place to crash for the time being...

The NY Rangers, the only NHL franchise in the NY Metro area had a good night tonight despite being on a 5 day bye week vacation

Buffalo beat Columbus
Carolina beat Wash
Calgary beat Tampa

All in regulation

I don't know.  The Rangers have crossed the 100 point mark for 3 consecutive years and made the playoffs all 4 of the previous years.

Yes, they are having a terrible year and they need to blow it up and rebuild it, but I kill the coach for going 4-1 in seasons.

PS:  Lundqvist is done.  All year he's looked a step slow.  The last 2 weeks, its just looked worse...

I think they'll do everything they can to trade Nash. They already traded Grabner. The team has had a great run.

i don't think they'll have to do much to find a Nash taker... question is finding the best offer.

Rangers now have Boston's 1st and 3rd and NJ 2nd in addition to their own 6 picks in the 2018 draft

I think it was a solid trade. Obviously, as most here know, I love building through draft, so a first is huge, even if it's a late first. Hickey draft outside the top 5 is such a crap shoot that just picking multiple high helps.

But also got a key contributor in Spooner and a kid with high potential in Lindgren, all for a rental, that might be back in August (for cheaper) anyway.
