'The Walking Dead' DIscussion Thread - SPOILERS ALLOWED*

I don't think Dwight took him out, it was a shoulder shot. I do think that that particular scene means that Darryl won't be the one to get killed in the finale.
I have a bad feeling that next week is going to end on a cliffhanger, with us not knowing who Negan kills with the bat. A Sopranos-esque blackout as we see the bat swing down.
And I will be PISSED if they pull that kind of crap. Seven months to wait to see who got beaten to death? Pissed off royally.
As for "Fear", I watch it. It's not as good as the original, but give it a chance. It gets better as it moves along. A bit slow at first, but interesting in it's own right. I'll be curious to see how they develop things in season two.

While I know a cliffhanger can be good television, I agree with you in that I don't want a 7 month wait to see who gets offed. That would be a BS move.
And that shot of the bat in thw preview, reminiscent of Cactus Jack, for any 1990s wrestling fans.

I get that cliffhangers are ratings ploys, but damn, this is the #1 cable show in the world, how much more do they think they will get by leaving us in the dark?
They can show Negan beating the head of a character and it's still a cliffhanger, after all, how does the group react? What happens next? How does this death affect the principals involved? That's enough of a cliffhanger to bring viewers back.
Don't resort to cheap tricks. If they DID decide to end the season that way, the episode BETTER be the best ever.

I'm thinking 90% Glen, 5% Darryl, 5% Abraham.
Rick and Carl didn't get it, Negan said if Rick moved he would rip out Carl's other eye and feed it to him.
Negan does not kill women, so Maggie, Rosita, Sasha and Michonne are safe. Eugene would not bring the emotional torment, so he is safe.
As far as the ending goes, I fully expected it to end as it did, but I will credit them with executing it very well. I don't like this level of cliffhanger, but I get why they did it.
