Think not of what we gave up but what we gained!

i was 100% against this trade.  I honestly think this kid has the potential to be special, and i didn't want to give that up for an ill-fated run before the team was ready.

1)  Wow was I wrong about the ill-fated run.  100% happy we made the trade :)

2)  I still think he's going to be special.

not saying that he doesn't have potential, but nothing in his makeup says Thor/Matz/Harvey/Wheeler/deGrom caliber or even Familia/Robles caliber...I think that we capitalized on one great minor league system, and turned him into a once in a decade type of middle of the lineup hitter...We gave up more for Santana, and got less in return...
