FRESNO, CA -- Teoscar Hernandez hit a grand slam in the eighth inning, leading the Fresno Grizzlies to an 8-5 win over the Las Vegas 51s on Friday.
 
The grand slam by Hernandez capped a five-run inning and gave the Grizzlies an 8-5 lead after Preston Tucker drew a bases-loaded walk earlier in the inning.
 
Las Vegas took a 5-0 lead behind a two-run home run by Xorge Carrillo in the second inning. Fresno answered in the sixth inning when A.J. Reed hit a three-run home run.
 
Reymin Guduan (1-2) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while David Roseboom (0-2) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game. Jordan Jankowski recorded his first save of the season.

ERIE, PA -- Kevin Kaczmarski had two hits and scored two runs, and Corey Oswalt allowed just three hits over seven innings as the Binghamton Rumble Ponies topped the Erie SeaWolves 8-3 on Friday.
 
Oswalt (1-2) picked up the win after he struck out four and walked two while allowing one run.
 
Up 1-0 in the fifth, Binghamton extended its lead when it put up five runs, including a three-run home run by Cody Decker.
 
The Rumble Ponies later tacked on a run in both the seventh and ninth innings. In the seventh, Decker hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Kaczmarski, while Kevin Taylor hit an RBI single in the ninth.

DAYTONA BEACH, FL -- Blake Butler doubled and singled twice, driving in a run and also scoring one as the Daytona Tortugas topped the St. Lucie Mets 5-3 on Friday.
 
Reydel Medina doubled and singled twice, also stealing a base for Daytona.
 
St. Lucie had a runner on first in the top of the ninth, but a runner was thrown out to end the game.
 
St. Lucie started the scoring in the first inning. After leading off the inning with a single, John Mora advanced to second on a single by Anthony Dimino, went to third on an out, and then scored on a single by Patrick Mazeika.
 
After Daytona scored two runs, the Tortugas added to their lead in the sixth inning when Narciso Crook hit a two-run home run and Mitch Piatnik hit an RBI single.
 
The Mets saw their comeback attempt come up short after Dale Burdick hit a two-run double in the eighth inning to cut the Daytona lead to 5-3.

Gonzalez, Tebow spur Columbia to 5-0 win over Lexington

COLUMBIA, SC -- Tim Tebow doubled and singled twice, and Merandy Gonzalez allowed just three hits over seven innings as the Columbia Fireflies beat the Lexington Legends 5-0 on Friday.
 
Gonzalez (3-0) picked up the win after he struck out seven.
 
In the bottom of the third, Columbia grabbed the lead on a two-run double by Michael Paez and an RBI single by Jose Miguel Medina. The Fireflies then added single runs in the fifth and eighth innings. In the fifth, Paez scored on a ground out, while Desmond Lindsay scored on a double play in the eighth.
 
Nolan Watson (0-3) went 4 1/3 innings, allowing four runs and 10 hits in the South Atlantic League game. He also struck out two and walked one.
